		<description><![CDATA[Dothan Service League members continued one of our newer traditions this year by decorating a tree for the Festival of Trees, which is the largest fundraiser for the Wiregrass Children's Home.  Our tree was called "Girls Gone Wild" with a red, purple and turquoise peacock theme conjured up by our always colorful Emily Stewart. ]]></description>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><span id="more-145"></span>The Dothan Service League will hold their annual Holiday Tour of Homes on Saturday, December 5th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. All proceeds from the Tour of Homes supports many areas of the community; Including the Wiregrass Children’s Home, Meals on Wheels, Dorothy Quick Senior Center, Association of Retarded Citizens, Wiregrass Hope Group, Spectrum Center for Autism and Related Disorders, and scholarships to Troy University Dothan Campus, Wallace Community College and the Chamber’s Leadership Dothan program. The Dothan Service League has given over 62 years in service to our community.<br />

<p>In addition, the League awarded two $1,500 scholarships to female students who had returned to school to better themselves. Annually, one scholarship is given to each foundation at Troy University and Wallace Community College by the League. Each foundation screens the applicants to determine which student best meets the criteria set forth by the League. This year’s scholarship recipients were Kimberly Faulkner from Troy and Amy Croft from Wallace.</p>
