Bell ringing for the Salvation Army

On December 1st  we  rang the bell for the Salvation Army at the Mall.  Our time  was cut short due to the Army cancelling our evening shifts due to  weather/storms in our area.  Those that volunteered to ring were Molly  Shutters, Melinda Williams, Jennifer Dulaney, Karen Nunnally, Shannon McKnight,  Patty Baker, Leeann Morris, Amber Brockett, Holli Closson, Valarie Thompson,  Marcella West, Kitty Edwards, Kay Jackson, Samanatha Clark and Linda Overton.  Ann Thompson, Auxillary Member, also volunteered to ring with us.

Wiregrass Children’s Home: goodbye to summer and hello school year

In August, just before school started Dothan Service League members
joined these children to help pick out new shoes for the school year. It’s hard to say
who got more from the trip, service league members or each of the children. Jason
and Stephanie do such a great job with all of the
children. It’s nice when we as a league can help them
in such an up-close and personal way.

Southeast Alabama Community Theater

Upon relocation of the League’s office to the Cultural Arts Center in 2004, a natural partnership with the Southeast Alabama Community Theater was born. League members currently serve as greeters and ushers during each week of the theater’s three annual productions.
