Wiregrass Children’s Home going on Vacation!

Kelli Cundith presents a check for $1500 to Jason Ragsdale of the Wiregrass Children’s Home. They were able to take the 8 children they currently have on vacation to Gatlinburg, TN. Many of the children in the home do not ever get to take a real vacation and it is an important bonding time with the kids. The Dothan Service League was proud to help with their request!

Bell ringing for the Salvation Army

On December 1st we rang the bell for the Salvation Army at the Mall. Our time was cut short due to the Army cancelling our evening shifts due to weather/storms in our area. Those that volunteered to ring were Molly Shutters, Melinda Williams, Jennifer Dulaney, Karen Nunnally, Shannon McKnight, Patty Baker, Leeann Morris, Amber Brockett, Holli Closson, Valarie Thompson, Marcella West, Kitty Edwards, Kay Jackson, Samanatha Clark and Linda Overton. Ann Thompson, Auxillary Member, also volunteered to ring with us.

The Festival Of Trees

Service league members with our tree
On Thursday November 12th, The League participated in The Festival of Trees, a Fundraiser for The Wiregrass Children’s Home. This year we decorated a tree of pink and silver dedicated to all those whose life has been affected by breast cancer. Our tree brought $1150! Thanks to all those who went and decorated our fabulous Tree!
